Jeff Szymczak, Owner
Jeff is a native Texan, and started his career in the landscaping industry in 2000. He has been owning and operating Four Seasons Outdoor Living since 2008. Jeff founded his company on his core business beliefs – innovative designs, fresh ideas, organic materials, and cultivating a personal relationship with his customers. With that, Jeff has a hand in each part of his business – from sales to designing to project management.
Jeff’s interest in landscaping began while growing up in the small town of Anderson, Texas. He loved tending to his parents’ garden, drawing, and being outdoors. In high school, Jeff helped his father start his own lawn service, developing his own strong work ethic and seeing firsthand the importance of developing personal customer relationships.
After he graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000, with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Jeff pursued a career in residential landscaping design at a small family-owned landscaping design & build firm. He immediately assumed a great deal of responsibility – designing and overseeing construction of many residential projects, eventually becoming the head landscape architect of the firm.
Looking for something more challenging, Jeff moved on to a project manager position at a large landscape design and build company. While he oversaw many large residential and commercial projects, and three installation crews, he also acquired extensive construction knowledge. While Jeff enjoyed the project management side of landscaping, he missed cultivating personal relationships with each client.
Filling a need in the landscaping industry for a high-end residential design & build firm that also provided a personal experience for the customers, Jeff started Four Seasons Outdoor Living in 2008. Alongside Jeff’s years of experience in designing, building, project management, and sales combined with his detailed knowledge of Texas horticulture, fresh ideas, and creative design aesthetic, the company continues to grow every year. While every customer and project is unique, Jeff enjoys the new challenges that each day brings.
Jeff lives near the Heights area of Houston with his wife, Kim, their two boys, and their dog. When he’s not designing and implementing dream outdoor living spaces, Jeff enjoys sports, traveling, wine tasting, and someday hopes to open his own vineyard as his very own dream outdoor living space.
